*The Opportunity*

CareFirst is committed to excellence in patient care and customer service. We are currently seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Cape Coral.

*Responsibilities *
* Utilize magnetic resonance for the purpose of detecting pathology
* Perform MRI and MRA, as directed by a clinic provider.
* Operate equipment safely
* Maintain the safety and integrity of the MRI suites
* Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
* Assist other modalities, such as X-ray and front desk as needed
* Able to work with: GE 1.5T, Siemens Espree 1.5T & Esaote G-Scan Brio Open

Education and Experience
* Knowledge of MRI quality control procedures and the ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment or exams
* ARRT RT (R)(MR) with current license Required
* Expert phlebotomist for IV contrast injections
* CPR/BLS
* Experience in a physician's office, clinic or other health care setting is strongly preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis/procedure coding desired
* Capable of operating or learning to operate automated systems and other office equipment
* Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills'
