You’ll work hands-on in production, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety across all operations.If you’re energized by problem-solving, continuous improvement, and seeing your engineering work directly impact daily production, this role will set you up for long-term success.What You’ll Do:Process Design & Optimization Design, develop, and enhance manufacturing processes for automotive parts. Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and cost analyses. Ensure alignment between product design and manufacturability.Production Planning Optimize workflow, layout, and production schedules. Analyze bottlenecks and lead lean manufacturing initiatives. Implement automation and efficiency improvements.Equipment & Tooling Engineering Recommend and select machinery, tooling, and fixtures. Oversee installation, integration, and commissioning of new equipment. Develop custom tools and fixtures to improve throughput and quality.Quality Assurance Establish and maintain quality standards, inspections, and testing protocols. Troubleshoot defects and partner with quality teams to implement corrective actions. Support APQP, FEMA, SPC, and MSA requirements.Supplier Collaboration Work with vendors to source components, materials, and tooling. Evaluate supplier quality and process capabilities.Continuous Improvement Leadership Lead CI projects across the plant. Conduct root-cause analyses and implement sustainable corrective actions. Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices.Documentation & Reporting Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and equipment documentation. Track KPIs and provide data-driven insights to leadership.Safety & Compliance Promote a safe, compliant production environment. Implement risk assessments, audits, and preventive measures.What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering Prior experience in automotive or plastics manufacturing strongly preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems Working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, MSA, and SPC Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills Proven hands-on problem-solver with the ability to thrive on the production floorInterested in hearing more?
