Senior Data & AI Engineer
Downtown Chicago | Hybrid (Monday–Wednesday Onsite) | Direct Hire | $150K–$175K

TalentFish is casting a line for an exceptional Senior Data & AI Engineer to join one of the most exciting, forward-thinking organizations in the manufacturing industry

We're looking for a hands-on builder who loves turning complex data challenges and emerging AI capabilities into real-world business solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building scalable data pipelines, analytical models, and reusable data products using Python, SQL, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Developing Python applications, REST APIs, and data services that connect enterprise systems.
- Taking machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and Generative AI solutions from concept to production.
- Implementing automated testing, CI/CD, data-quality controls, monitoring, and modern engineering practices.
- Partnering with business leaders, data scientists, and engineers to solve meaningful business problems.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in data engineering, machine learning engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on Python and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience building production-grade pipelines, cloud data solutions, and integrations across enterprise systems.
- Understanding of REST APIs, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, FastAPI, Azure, Terraform, MLOps, or Generative AI is a plus.
- Manufacturing or supply chain experience is highly desirable, but we're equally interested in curious engineers with strong business acumen and a passion for solving problems.
