Key Responsibilities:

Injury Prevention:

Develop and implement injury prevention programs and strategies tailored to the specific workplace.
Conduct ergonomic assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Provide guidance on proper body mechanics and techniques to reduce the risk of injuries.

First Aid and Immediate Care:

Administer first aid and immediate care to employees who sustain workplace injuries or illnesses.
Assess the severity of injuries and refer employees to appropriate medical professionals as needed.
Maintain accurate records of all injuries, treatments, and follow-up care.

Fitness and Rehabilitation:

Create fitness and conditioning programs for employees to improve their physical health and reduce the risk of injuries.
Design and supervise rehabilitation programs for employees recovering from workplace injuries.
Monitor progress and adjust fitness and rehabilitation plans accordingly.

Education and Training:

Conduct training sessions and workshops on topics related to injury prevention, fitness, and health.
Educate employees about proper warm-up and stretching techniques.
Provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle both at work and outside of work.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with employees, including injury assessments and treatment plans.
Prepare and submit regular reports on injury trends, prevention initiatives, and program effectiveness.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other occupational health and safety professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other athletic trainers, to ensure comprehensive employee care.
Work closely with management and HR teams to develop and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
State licensure or certification as required by the state in which you practice.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in occupational health and safety is a plus.
