Job Description The Analytics Mgr, Business Development is responsible for the company's portfolio purchasing and market intelligence analytics. This role serves as the Business Development teams Subject Matter Expert regarding the US debt purchasing market, and will oversee the companys knowledge management databases containing both historical and future purchasing data and forecasts. This role will report directly to the Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, and will be responsible for helping shape MCMs short and long-term purchasing strategy through interacting with the Director and other senior management to provide analyses of current, past, and future market conditions. The Analytics Manager, Business Development manages others to develop technical solutions to business problems and is comfortable working in a data-intensive environment. This position may also partner with IT to develop system solutions to support market reconciliation and forecasting operations, and requires both business insight and technical know-how in a variety of data extraction tools, including SQL, SAS, Salesforce, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office. Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Responsibilities Own and oversee all purchase-related databases (maintenance, timeliness, and accuracy of data). Oversee, track and report on portfolio purchase transactions sourced or identified by the Business Development team. This includes developing and maintaining standard and regularly scheduled reports and dashboards, as well as supporting quarterly earnings reporting and ad hoc reporting needs as required by the business. Support annual budget process as well as multi-year strategic planning by developing and supplying market and seller-level forecasting analytics. Develop and maintain Business Standards, Policies, and Procedures governing the gathering, input, storage, and maintenance/reconciliation of market intelligence data. Manage at least one direct report analyst to assist with these responsibilities. Required Bachelor; Quantitative / Analytical Field 3-5 years business experience in a related field. 2+ years experience using SAS or SQL. High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proficiency with Salesforce.com, IBM iSeries. Preferred Master or Advanced; Quantitative / Analytical Field Financial services experience, and familiarity and understanding of capital markets, banking and financial services in particular.
