Express is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented *Accounts Receivable Specialist* to join the finance team of one of our long-standing clients. In this role, you will oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and the timely collection of payments. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, coupled with proficiency in accounting software. *A/R Specialist Duties*
* Process and record incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner.
* Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring all necessary information is included.
* Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with clients as needed.
* Perform journal entries and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
* Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
* Assist in credit analysis to evaluate customer creditworthiness.
* Collaborate with other departments to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.
* Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage for data entry and reporting.
* Maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards when applicable.
*A/R Specialist Requirements*
* Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
* Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and technical accounting practices.
* Familiarity with financial concepts and the ability to analyze accounts effectively.
* Proficiency in accounting software is highly desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
