This position cares for Structural heart (including Watchman), Lead extractions, ablations, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, mapping, post-procedure care and patient education.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities: (35%)* Performs nursing care for the above outlined procedures, but not limited to(35%)* Circulate and assists during cases, including sterically drop procedural supplies on tray, scrubbing in the case, running for supplies(15%)* Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.(15%)* Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on trayOther Duties And ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with physicians to provide a plan of care for each individualized patientAssists in other radiology/cardiology procedures as needed.Performs clinical functions as needed.Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing careAssumes the responsibility for processional growth by seeking out educationalopportunities and utilizing programs in the hospitalPrecepts / mentors new employees and studentsMyMichigan Health is a technology driven organization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft® Windows. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.Physical Demand Level: Medium.
