*Position Summary*A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.The 2nd shift Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager and is responsible for providing supervision over the day-to-day production operations with our Tube mill production. The 2nd shift Supervisor is also responsible for identifying operational issues and concerns then relaying such issues to key members of the management team.*Essential Duties/Responsibilities*· Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.· Ensure that quality standards are met; champion quality ownership of work center.· Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures; communicate issues or concerns with division management and/or Corporate.· Assign all production tasks to staff and coordinate roles and duties to respective employees on any special tasks.· Supervise and support the production staff with a positive and supportive attitude. Promote positive morale for employees.· Maintain a safe working environment ensuring all staff are following safe work practices.· Communicate any issues with Plant Operations Manager that may arise.· Be a presence on the production floor, monitoring staff is at workstations, and directing work as needed.· Encourage continuous improvement initiatives throughout the workplace.· Ensure all scheduled work and any special projects are completed on time and within the established deadlines.· Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division management team.*Job Requirements*_Education_· A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (such as a GED).· Technical/Vocational Training highly preferred._Experience_· 5 years of production/manufacturing experience. (Tube Mill Experience a plus)· 5 years of leadership experience within a high-functioning, fast-paced team; preferably in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.· Ability to operate an overhead crane and complete an overhead crane certification course.· Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.· Proficiency with software systems including MS Office, database management, and other business-related systems._Physical Requirements_· Ability to consistently lift 50lbs multiple times within a shift.· Ability to performance physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, pushing, pulling, and handling various materials.Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* Supervising: 5 years (Required)* Overhead Crane: 2 years (Required)Shift availability:* Night Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Delta, OH 43515 (Required)Work Location: In person
