As a Mental Health Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges by coordinating and implementing effective mental health programs and services.

*Key Responsibilities of the Mental Health Coordinator:*
* Conduct thorough assessments to understand the mental health needs of individuals in our community. Evaluate and monitor their progress regularly.
* Coordinate with mental health professionals, social workers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals in need.
* Develop and implement mental health programs and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the community, including support groups, educational workshops, and therapy sessions.
* Provide immediate support and intervention during mental health crises. Collaborate with emergency services and crisis intervention teams when necessary.
* Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with mental health issues within the community and liaise with relevant stakeholders to address systemic barriers.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and progress reports. Generate comprehensive reports on program outcomes and effectiveness.
* Conduct training sessions for staff, volunteers, and community members to increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues and effective intervention strategies.
* Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in the field of mental health. Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

*Applicant Requirements of the Mental Health Coordinator:*
* BLS Certification
* Must have one of the following: LPC, LCSW or a LMFT
* 5 years Clinical and 2 years of Mental Health Coordinator experience required
