Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Small Business/Self Employed (SB/SE) Field Examination
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level:
Protects confidentiality of taxpayer information within the confines of disclosure laws, rules, and regulations.
Assigns, updates, and closes cases on Examination Returns Control System (ERCS), Audit Information Management System (AIMS), and Report Generation System (RGS) as necessary.
Requests and reviews Integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS)/AIMS printouts and transcripts, as necessary, to aid in processing cases.
Completes procedural and limited technical review of certain Examination cases involving simple tax issues.
This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or one year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION FOR GS-05:
You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service.
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: four (4) years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university.
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
Additional information
Subject to a 1-year probationary period (unless already completed).
Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
This is a bargaining unit position.
Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday, Day Shift with start and stop times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
