Develop manufacturing labor estimates for proposals.Create and oversee budgets for each Manufacturing area.Assist with problem solving and eliminating production barriers as required.Champion employee development and performance management by coaching Manufacturing Leaders and identifying potential successors. Capacity planning based on forecast to ensure timely hiring of resources needed.Drive continuous improvement through goal setting, prioritizing opportunities, coaching, and direct involvement in CI projects/events. Identify operational risks such as single point failures, inadequate tooling/equipment, capacity limitations, etc. then develop and implement mitigation plans. Ensure manufacturing facilities are maintained and operated in accordance with DoD, OSHA, AS9100, and other regulatory requirements.Participate in and develop employeesManage and participate in the daily management structure of operationsActively manage employee performanceDevelop and maintain business metrics to monitor, improve, and control operationsWork within an integrated product team to support manufacturing operationsJob Qualifications: (Education/Skills/Experience):Four-year degree in business or engineering preferred.Minimum of 5 years proven success in role with similar scope of duties and responsibilities.Minimum of 10 years' experience working directly in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of Program Management techniques. Experience with chemical or explosive manufacturing preferred.Experience working to DoD requirementsEffective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to effectively engage people at all levels of the organization. High level of professionalism and business acumen. Training and experience in Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies (root cause, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Proven record of effectively dealing with conflict. Proficient with MS Suite, to include Excel, Word, PPT and Project.Must be able to provide proof of US Persons and ability to clear ATF background check.Note: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.Skills & Requirements Qualifications
