Our client, in the Automotive industry is seeking a Powertrain Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree or 2-5 years of experience working with Vehicle Powertrains which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Powertrain EngineerLocation: Long Beach, CAPay Range: $60.00 HourlyWhat's the Job?•Execute process for large Certification testing projects involving emissions and ODB.•Perform the validation of releaes or soon to be released software for US market light-duty gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.•Prepare vehicle for Chassis Dyno and PEMS testing by collaborating with workshop and lab personnel.•Plan and conduct PEMS/Dyno testing of gasoline or diesle powertrains in the areas of combustion, emissions control/OBD and EV range testing. •Perform root cause analysis of issues and discuss countermeasures in a team setting.What's Needed?•Bachelors degree or 2-5 years of related experience in Powertrains and Emissions.•Experience with Vehicle Testing activities •Understanding of Powertrain Technologies and its regulations.•Proficient with data acquisition and development tools/languages such as INCA, MATLAB, and/or Python.If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
