Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial operations of our funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role is critical in supporting investment strategies and enhancing the overall financial performance of the firm.

Description

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of assigned funds.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to analyze fund performance and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for funds.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of investor reports and presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fund accounting.

Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
