Job SummaryThe Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for (1) pulling and terminating cables; (2) understanding cable flow and installation; (3) install equipment and wall rack equipment reading wire diagrams: and (4) programing proprietary equipment for the Company's clients.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDress, label, pull, cut and terminate cablesInstalls, connects, and manages video routers and switches.Installation of camerasIdentify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVIMounts and dresses display of various sizes including wall panels.Programs various equipment.Troubleshoot client complex audio-video equipment.Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts including the recording of serial model numbersCompletes and updates daily reports, project photos, timecards and project status.Partners with co-workers and management to provide world-class customer service to clients.Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with scopes of project assignment.Adherence to company Mission, Vision, and ValuesOther duties as assigned by Manager.Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers.Ability to dress racksAbility to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams.Ability to identify and understand various source plates.Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltageExperience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals.Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spacesAbility to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devicesAbility to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently.Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Qualification StandardsEducationHigh School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalentExperienceMinimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environmentMathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Physical Requirements/ Working EnvironmentThe primary working environment is an indoor medical setting. This role requires 100% travel to reach project locations. Employees working in hazardous conditions and areas are required to comply with all applicable safety provisions and to use PPE.This position is subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The position is also subject to noise that may cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
