Job Description
Johnson Duffie, a multidisciplinary, full-service practice in Lemoyne, PA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join the firm's Family Law practice group, representing individuals with a family law challenge including but not limited to cases involving divorce, child custody, spousal or child support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, PFAs, name changes, and adoption.
As a well-established firm with a rich and successful history, Johnson Duffie can provide a strong growth opportunity for a candidate who has the required experience. The position could also incorporate other practice areas, if interested in a more diverse experience.
Responsibilities:
Review, draft and file pertinent legal documents, including pleadings and court documents
Meet regularly and communicate effectively with clients
Provide expert legal analysis, develop case strategy and arrive at practical solutions for clients
Work effectively and professionally as part of a team, including colleagues, support staff and others involved in a case
Obtain and organize appropriate case related materials
Attend court hearings
Provide professional and creative options for resolving disputes
Conduct effective legal research
Contribute to the growth of the firm
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited law school
Licensed to practice in PA
5 years minimum practice experience in family law
Mature and possess strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation abilities
Conscientiousness with high attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Possess skills and comfort using modern software technology to improve efficiency, such as MS Office, PCLaw, and related applications
US Work authorization is required
Book of Business is preferred
