About Us: At Sawgrass Complete Dentistry, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care to our patients. Our state-of-the-art facility in Ponte Vedra, Florida, is designed to offer a comfortable and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team.

Monday- Thursday 7:30-5:00 and Fridays 7-12

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Follow infection control procedures and maintain cleanliness in the operatory.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Florida.
  • At least 1 yearvof experience as a Dental Hygienist (new graduates are welcome to apply and we will review).
  • Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and use of dental instruments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography is a plus.

Sawgrass Complete Dentistry, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Minimum Qualifications 

  • Current dental hygienist license in Florida and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

 

Preferred Experience

  • 1 years of clinical experience
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
