Full Job DescriptionLeoTerra Development is looking for a Pipe Layer to join our team. Committed to excellence and innovation, we are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our dynamic team.Job Location:Kernersville, NC Position Type:Full-time, PermanentPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:As a Pipe Layer, you will play a crucial role in our land development projects by installing and maintaining underground utility systems. You will work closely with the construction team to ensure the efficient and accurate placement of pipes, conduits, and other underground infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, safety regulations, and be capable of collaborating with various team members. Key Duties include: Installation of Underground Utilities: Lay and install pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, water mains, and other underground utilities according to project specifications. Collaborate with foreman to ensure accurate placement and alignment of pipes. Excavation and Trenching: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Pipe Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect pipes for defects, damages, or alignment issues during and after installation. Conduct maintenance and repairs to ensure the longevity and functionality of the underground utility systems. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with crew to facilitate seamless workflow on the construction site. Communicate effectively with crew to address any challenges. Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment. Ensure compliance with local building and municipal codes and regulations governing underground utility installations. Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Pipe Layer or similar role in the construction industry.- Familiarity with various types of pipes, materials, and installation methods.- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.- Proficient in the use of hand tools, heavy machinery, and equipment related to pipe laying.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Physical Requirements: Frequently performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling of materials, equipment, and tools. Lifts, pushes, pulls, and carries heavy objects, machinery, and tools. Works around vehicles and machinery with moving parts. Exposed to exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel.
