Subject Matter Expert II
Overview:
The Subject Matter Expert provides expert advice and recommendations for programs, contracts, and/or topics relevant to his/her area of expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise for specific contracts and programs
- Attends meetings and provides input associated with his/her area of expertise
- Participates in writing/formulating documents and evaluations/recommendations
- Serves as an interagency liaison in area of expertise
- May serve as a lead instructor for any classes associated with his/her area of expertise
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Education and/or Experience:
- Master of Arts or Science (MA/MS) degree in an associated discipline
- At least fifteen (15) years of progressively advancing career experience
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in area of expertise
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Excellent writing and communications skills
- Ability to advise on organizational performance, strategic planning, and interact with high-level government officials
- Instructor experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None.
Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance
Physical Demands:
The physical demands that will be required inside the work place and for the position. Must lift, will sit, answer the phone, type on a keyboard, move files, etc.
Travel:
None.
Work Environment:
Office environment.
