Seeking a Full-Time Architectural Control Committee (ACC) Inspector/Administrator at Savannah Lakes Village

Savannah Lakes Village is a picturesque 4000-acre lakefront community boasting an abundance of amenities, located in McCormick SC at the heart of the Freshwater Coast Region and Western South Carolina s Sumter National Forest. The ACC Inspector/Administrator provides guidance and direction for the architectural control administration for SLV ensuring that the overall objectives, policies, programs and fiscal practices are implemented, administered and maintained.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Processes and maintains records on all new permit applications and change/alteration permit applications for single, multi-family and commercial construction.
• Maintains communications with Owners and contractors throughout the building process.
• Conducts drive-through and building site inspections as needed to ensure conformance with the ACC rules and regulations.
• Confirms location of all construction as to location of structure in relationship to the approved plot plan.
• Prepares the agenda and application packages for all ACC meetings; ensures all applications and submittals are complete and members of the ACC have access to any additional information needed to make a thorough and fair review of each request under consideration.
• Processes, schedules and maintains all procurement/material (purchase orders, check requests, etc.), after appropriate approvals, for ACC related activities.
• Processes and codes all ACC related invoices.
• Responsible for the sale, inventory, placement, monitoring and records for all For Sale signs purchased through the SLV POA.
• Processes and maintains records on all permit applications for owners requiring U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permits for under brushing, boat docks and all other permits required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
• Processes, schedules and maintains all records on the installation of the pumped Effluent Sewer Systems and its components.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have the ability, skills and sufficient educational background, normally an Associate s degree in a related field, and/or actual experience in the building industry or a related field.
2. Requires ability to review and understand architectural and engineering plans and drawings.
3. Requires knowledge of the State of South Carolina building codes and County Ordinances on construction and permitting.
4. Must possess inter-personal skills that will make people feel welcome and reflect favorably on the SLV POA.
5. Must have basic computer skills to include spreadsheet and word processing experience.
6. Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels by having advanced verbal, writing and listening skills.
7. Must be able to physically lift fifty (50) pounds unaided and to thoroughly inspect construction sites and structures.
8. A valid driver s license required with the ability to negotiate in and around construction sites.
9. Must be pleasant, well organized and a team player.
