Job Overview:

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Stewardship Coordinator for our Lexington, KY facility

The Stewardship Coordinator works closely with the development team serving as an operations specialist to ensure proper stewardship of donors to Shriners Childrens Lexington. This position supports the departments internal systems, structures, and processes that enable the donor development office to meet and succeed fundraising, budget and operational goals and maintain the highest standards of donor satisfaction and overall growth. Working with the philanthropy directors, the Stewardship Coordinator oversees the administrative processes of the Development Office, focused on increasing effectiveness and supporting all work related to donor stewardship, prospect management, and dedicated to increasing revenue goals. Supervises the Gift Processing System.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in building a culture of gratitude by ensuring that donors are appreciated, informed and engaged.
    • Implement comprensive donor recognition standards.
    • Work with development officers to ensure appropriate recognition and stewardship for all major, annual and planned gifts.
    • Produce and distribute electronic and hard copy acknowledgements such as thank you letters, receipts, email and stewardship communications.
    • In collaboration with SHCHQ, coordinate gift-processing systems through review, commitment and acknowledgement of all contributions.
    • Coordinate with SHC Legal on donor stewardship and recognition for estate and planned giving donors.
  • Coordinate stewardship internally and externally through the management of donor impact reports, interactive stewardship experiences, and innovative thank you techniques. Maintain donor recognition and stewardship in system of record.
  • Marketing functions
    • Coordinate efforts with Marketing and Communications to secure patient testimonials
    • Provide oversight and management for marketing and communications efforts and special events/programs to current donors.
    • Organize a project plan for an Annual Report, donor newsletter and appropriate social media postings.
    • Participate in gift celebrations, fundraising events, and other events as needed.
    • Manage donor recognition walls and associated stewardship materials.
  • Be knowledgeable of the Blackbaud CRM donor database, navigate and submit data requests and compile analytics to track impact to help ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish local prospect research procedures to identify potential prospects and create stewardship profiles and communicate with gift officers
  • Provide general administrative support to members of the team as necessary and work in collaboration across units to support the stewardship efforts of the office and build strong partnerships with Shriners Childrens Lexington leadership.


Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2 years of fundraising experience required
  • Stewardship experience and/or development experience preferred
  • MS Office proficiency required

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
