RPG Programmer

Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a talented RPG Programmer/Analyst to join their dynamic team. We are looking for an experienced Programmer/Analyst to support our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical skills and deep expertise in manufacturing and distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Infor XA ERP system applications on the AS/400 platform
• Provide daily support to end-users of Infor XA ERP and related business systems
• Manage software development and implementation projects with minimal supervision
• Analyze and resolve production support issues at the root cause level
• Identify and implement business process improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders across global locations to deliver innovative solutions
• Develop and implement formal testing protocols
• Create comprehensive technical documentation
• Provide end-user training on technology and business process support

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of application development experience in manufacturing/distribution environments
• Advanced experience with:
• RPG (ILE/FREE)
• SQL (Embedded, Interactive, Views)
• Stored Procedures
• XML
• Experience with JSON, REST, and APIs
• Enterprise Integrator and Systemlink/Powerlink experience with Infor XA, R9 or above
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)
• Experience interfacing with 3rd party systems (Supply Chain, EDI)
