Overhead Door Company of Atlanta™, a DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking to hire a Woodshop Production Manager in our Peachtree Corners, GA office This individual will be Responsible for day to day directing and monitoring operations of the production/carpentry shop, including supervision of staff, equipment maintenance, resolution of problems, inventory, work priorities, scheduling of production, quality, deadlines, communication with other work teams and recommendations for improvement to processes, morale, teamwork and safety.Position Overview:Responsible for day to day directing and monitoring woodshop production operations, managing a team of 6 carpentersCreate production schedules, oversee production processes and ensure the best quality product is produced in the department, while maintaining a safe and clean work environmentManage production cost and provide yearly update to cost matrixesProvide cost estimates and reviewing proposals and shop drawingsCreating, updating and closing production orders or job tickets in timely mannerConduct safety training as scheduled, or situation requiresConduct scheduled inventories and ensure material is on hand when neededTrain team on current new techniques, procedures and materials in the woodshop to ensure consistent and quality driven resultsPerform trouble shooting and maintenance when needed. Research and recommend parts needed for repairs.Source materials, tools and supplies when neededResponsible for shop layout and project flow to ensure carpenters are working as efficient as possibleAny other duties that may be assignedQualifications:3-5 years of industry related experience 5+ years of management preferredBachelor's degree preferredStrong leadership, team player, exhibit a can-do attitudeMust be mechanically inclined with a comprehensive working knowledge of industrial wood working machines including table saw, mitre saw, routers, nailerCommunicate effectively and professionallyHave ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsKnowledge of MS OfficeForklift/Reach truck experienceExperience: Production planning: 5 years (Required)Production management: 5 years (Required)Building and closing production orders or job ticketsLean manufacturing: preferredPower toolsWhy DH Pace?DH Pace Company is a distribution, construction and service organization offering a complete range of door and door related products and commercial security products.
