Radiation Therapist Traveler Contract in Reno, NV

Opportunity Specifics:
  • Contract Type: Radiation Therapist Traveler
  • Setting: Acute Care Hospital
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13-Week Contracting with ongoing need
  • Shift Availability: Days 7:00a-3:30p 
  • Experience with CT Simulation with 4D-CT as RTT preferable
  • Equipment: Truebeam and Aria
Responsibilities: 
  • Performs radiation therapy on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures
  • Prepares patients for exam and explains procedure
  • Enters and monitors patient data.
  • Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment.
  • Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.
  • Takes emergency call within the department. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Registration by the ARRT and Nevada licensed
  • Required Skills: critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  
  • BLS required
  • Basic Computer Skills
