FULL-TIME Opportunity in Escondido, California
$95,000 (starting average annual salary)

Job Summary
Supervise all aspects of Company Vehicles, Apparatus, Fleet Maintenance, Equipment, Inventories, and Facilities. Work with the Manager of Operations to ensure that all Field Supervisors, Support Services Department, Field Personnel, vehicles, and equipment operate in an efficient and effective manner. Educate, comply, and enforce company policies and procedures. Make managerial decisions affecting the positive outcome of the company’s operations and take appropriate disciplinary action when required.
Essential Functions/Duties:
Resolve issues/inquiries from field personnel regarding vehicles and equipment.
Coordinate the work of his function and information exchanges with other organizations internal and external to CFSM.
Oversee the assignments, scheduling, productivity, work quality, performance evaluation, and discipline of personnel assigned to him.
Keep the Operations Chief adequately informed of the performance and challenges of his functions and propose changes to policy, rules, plans, procedures, and operational methods as appropriate, including their justification.
Maintain a positive vendor relationship to properly manage functions assigned to the logistics position.
Work with the Operation Chief and Accounting (AP) to maintain the budget for his functions and control expenditure levels. Ensure resources are economically utilized.
Conduct various special projects as required, not limited to: Capital improvements programming, station location, and facility planning.
Assist in promotional examination as needed.
Maintain knowledge of all company policies and regulations ensuring consistency in interpretation of such when dealing with employees and the general public.
Maintain an “open door” policy to field employees and encourage crewmembers to discuss any issues and make suggestions for improvement.
Participate with new employee orientation.
Coordinate with the Training and Safety Manager to identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up as necessary.
Act as a liaison between field personnel, Division Chief, and the Operations Chief.
Assist in the oversight of Support Services.
Oversee Investigations and Employee Performance issues.
Oversee employee uniform accounts.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and work to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.
Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.
Fleet Management:
Manage CFSM fleet, which includes maintenance, registration, weight certification, DOT regulations, air regulations, WEX fuel & Pac Pride cards and general upkeep. Maintain accurate fleet tracking records including individual vehicle paperwork and historical documentation.
Facilities:
Manage all capstone facilities security. Ensure that personnel, equipment, and apparatus are secure and all personnel are appropriately assigned access to facilities. Manage facility maintenance and repairs in accordance with local, state, and federal standards of safety. Manage and directly supervise all high value inventory & tracking. Manage facility supplies, phone system, and utilities. Manage storage and ordering of office supplies for all facilities as assigned.
Equipment:
Manage and supervise high value inventory tracking, supplies levels including but not limited to radios, phones, computers, and electronics. Manage all equipment assigned to operational apparatus. Maintain detailed inventory logs, and coordinate routine repairs, maintenance, and annual inspections. Manage regular inspection and test equipment in accordance with manufacturers' requirements within local, state, and federal requirements.
Training:
Maintain knowledge, skills, and proficiency by attending drills and completing training assignments as directed by the company. Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of ten (10) years of paid professional all risk fire experience or equivalent.
Minimum Five years as a company officer/supervisor.
CA State Fire Officer (I-100-I-200 I-300, S-260, S-330(Task Force/Strike team Leader Desirable) S-336.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Clean Driver’s Record.

Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause significant impact to client, co-workers, and supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may require longer hours and some Saturdays/Sundays on occasion.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
