POSITION DESCRIPTION
The City is looking for a results oriented, collaborative change agent and technology leader to be our next IT Architect.  The IT Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the overall structure and framework of the City’s technology systems ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with the strategic goals of the city and enhance services to the community. The successful collaborates with various City departments and IT/GIS management to understand their needs, develop technology strategies, and create scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions. 

What will you do in this position: 

  • Develop and maintain the overall technology architecture of the organization.
  • Ensures technology architecture aligns with strategic objectives of the organization and industry best practices.
  • Be a leader in the development and implementation of the Technology Strategic Plan and annual work plan. 
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology and tools.
  • Provide guidance on technology investments to management.
