Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • As a Fuel and Lube technician you will be responsible for the fueling, lubrication service and maintenance of a variety of equipment including Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, Forklift, paving, cranes, Scrapers and Loaders.
  • Inspect, diagnose & complete preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
  • Greasing booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment.
  • Lubricating running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
  • Performing light repairs effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments.
  • Ensuring service trucks are kept clean, organized, and always maintained properly and ready for use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment; report to work on time as scheduled
  • Maintains an accurate schedule and legible record of equipment and vehicle maintenance logs and reports.
  • Order parts for mobile and fixed plant equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience:
  • Heavy Equipment/Truck Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to prioritize SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English).
  • Punctual and reliable; good attendance required.
  • Must have valid CDL with OSHA and Hazmat endorsement.
  • Heavy equipment and/or on-highway truck maintenance\PM experience or related field preferred
  • Must be able to provide and use a good working set of mechanics tools.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions or in shop
  • Able to perform these duties on our second shift assignment.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Able to work from elevated platforms or confined spaces
  • Reliable transportation to commute to North Reno area before starting work (Required)
