Refrigeration Technician

Salary Info:$37.27/hour - $60.31/hour (depending on level and experience), and paid-on-call rotation

The Refrigeration Technician will perform field service maintenance and remedial and emergency repairs on telecommunication and data center HVAC equipment. Equipment consists of Liebert, Data Air, Marvair, Bard, Carrier, Trane, and glycol systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency service requests
• Assist field personnel in other areas as required
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Provide accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and commentary, which accurately reflects field conditions
• Utilize monitoring tools and dexterity to repair field problems
• Daily travel to worksite

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair
• A passed state refrigeration exam or 7 years of data center experience
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards
• Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
• EPA Certification
• Understanding of schematics and diagnostics on basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits

The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks, and closed-toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
