Other operational responsibilities will include taking measurements, calibrating equipment, line locating, regulatory equipment inspections, conduit and electrical distribution systems installation and repair. High voltage distribution system inspection and repair and low voltage distributed control system troubleshooting and maintenance. Compliance documentation responsibilities will require basic computer skills. Works with little supervision within an industrial plant environment in various weather and environmental conditions.The candidate selected for the position will be expected to work a rotating 12-hour Dupont schedule and as required during plant shutdowns and emergencies. The position will have on call responsibilities which will require the selected candidate to be on call and able to report to the plant within 2 hours to assist with trouble calls and other duties as required. Essential Job Duties:

- Complete assigned projects to include new equipment installations, existing equipment repairs, removal of old systems.
- Ability to organize and plan a project from start to finish and ensure that work is completed within established timelines and to industry standards.
- Willingness to learn programming skills required for implementing new control and instrument installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, research, and implement possible solutions and generate lists of components and devices that are required to repair or replace faulty equipment.
- Ability to document completed work and ensure that assigned tasks and related documents are properly closed out and records of testing, calibration and inspections are properly recorded and submitted.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team and individually to complete assigned tasks and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace.
- Commitment to a strong work ethic, punctuality and ability and desire to perform all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers and electrical equipment.
- Responsible for prompt and accurate diagnosis of minor problems and the implementation of corrective action and or minor repairs.
- Set up and operate specialized test and measurement equipment.
- Conduct functional evaluation tests on valves, motors, instruments, and process controls.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting 120-volt AC and 24-volt DC control circuits, 120-volt single phase and 480-volt three phase motors, transformers, distribution equipment and switch gear.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with crew members and supervisors at start of shift to review daily work assignments, potential safety issues, and changes in work.
- Ability to remain flexible, make informed decisions and stay calm under pressure.
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment to vehicle or storage areas.
- Maintain work areas is a neat and orderly manner and preform installations, repairs, and maintenance in a workman like manner.
- Clean and maintain test instruments, equipment, tools, and protective equipment.
- Attend required meetings, safety training and company mandated informational meetings.
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment to include pickups, utility vehicles, man lifts, and other equipment as required.
- High School Education or GED required.
- Process instrumentation/electrical maintenance experience in industry OR two (2) years maintenance experience in industry and associate degree in instrumentation, electrical technology or industrial electronics preferred.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting control loops, using function block programing, electrical one line, and P&I drawings.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical requirements - Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required.
- 20/40 vision or better; depth perception, full field of vision, and the ability to distinguish colors with or without correction.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Must understand the operation of and performs automation system maintenance and repair.
- Understanding of magnorestrivictive level transmitters, displacement level transmitters, pressure transmitters, PH measurement equipment and thermocouple temperature instruments.
- Must ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, safety, and other government regulations, to include knowledge of N.E.C. and NFPA 7OE code requirements.
- Places special emphasis on supporting the company's core values.
- Assists with design and installation of projects.
- Maintains required records and documentation of work performed as required.
- Must have a safe driving record and current driver's license.
- Requires the ability to pass a drug test.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Additional chemical plant or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Completion of an apprenticeship in the instrumentation, controls, or electrical field.
- Previous experience in industrial or commercial electrical construction.
- Knowledge and experience installing rigid conduit in industrial and classified locations.
- Experience in the instrumentation, controls, and/or electrical field.
- Journeyman Electrician Certification and or MSHA Electrical Qualification is highly desired.
- A background that includes troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation technology used in the refining industry is preferred.
- Experience with HART Protocol instruments.
- Experience rebuilding and repairing control valves and pneumatic positioners.
- Knowledge and Experience programing PLC and DCS platforms.
- Knowledge and Experience installing and configuring motor drives.
- Knowledge and Experience related to Industrial network and wireless control systems maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge and Experience related to HVAC system maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
