Responsibilities:

  • Quality Inspection: Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on metal plates used in aerospace prototypes to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
  • Measurement: Utilize precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection equipment, to verify plate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, documenting any deviations from quality standards.
  • Defect Identification: Identify and document any defects, imperfections, or irregularities in the plates, providing detailed reports to the quality control team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to communicate inspection findings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Follow established inspection procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise during the prototyping process.
  • Safety Awareness: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plate Inspector in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection equipment.
  • Quality Standards: Thorough understanding of quality standards and specifications.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or irregularities in metal plates.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to convey inspection findings and collaborate with team members.
