Occupational Therapist Needed in Northern Suburbs of Chicago  Earn at LEAST $1,903 per week Seeking experienced school OTs interested in working with highly engaged students. Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Illinois.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
  • BLS/CPR Cert. 

Salary:
  • $54-$64/hr.
  • $500 sign-on bonus + $750 Christmas bonus

Details:
  • Location: Mundelein, IL ~20 miles north of Chicago O'Hare Airport 
  • Elementary & Middle School, site-based  
  • Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 35 to 40 hours per week
  • Contract follows the academic district calendar

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:
  • Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
  • Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
  • Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
  • Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
