SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY:
  • Conduct intake assessments.
  • Maintain accurately and organized client notes, data, and reports.
  • Design and provide direct treatment to clients in one-on-one or group contexts.
  • Exercise judgment on best assessment tools to utilize in treatment planning for clients and develop well-rounded treatment programs.
  • Collaborate with a team of behavior technicians and BCBAs to exchange, discuss and evaluate the information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
  • Instruct family member(s) and members of the team in methods of assisting the client in improving communication skills.
  • Re-evaluate client’s progress and the established treatment program as often as necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Minimum of one (1) year as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an urban public or charter school setting is preferred.
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) endorsement (Type 73).
  • State of IL SLP License.
