Job Summary:- As a maintenance apprentice you will report directly to the maintenance manager.
- Ours is a heavy industrial environment and you must be comfortable working in conditions that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and noisy.
- You will perform preventive maintenance & repairs on mechanical systems; including routine inspections, lubrication and replacement of worn or damaged parts.
- Work with other maintenance team members to ensure that all equipment is maintained to a high standard and that downtime is minimized.
- Visually inspect machines and listen for odd or inconsistent sounds.
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment, conveyor systems, labeling machines, filling machines forklifts and more.
- Maintain work logs including maintenance and repair records, as well as, parts used.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent.
- Mechanical Skills, abilities and knowledge.
- Familiarity with standard tools.
- Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing and electrical is a plus.
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be a self-starter who works efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Able to interact and communicate with co-workers professionally.
- Possess a work ethic or reliability and accountability.
- 7:00 - 3:30 during training.
- 9:00-6:30 after training.
