This opportunity is with Adams Power in Denmark, WI. The Generator Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical generators and related equipment. This role ensures all generator systems function efficiently and safely, meeting industry standards and regulations.
What you’ll do:
  • Install, inspect, and maintain generators and associated electrical systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and battery checks on generators
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues with generator systems
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors on generator-related projects
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, documenting all service activities and parts used
  • Respond to emergency callouts for generator breakdowns or malfunctions, providing timely and effective solutions

What you’ll bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience as a generator electrical technician or in a similar residential/commercial role
  • Experience with small engine repairs
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment commonly used in generator maintenance and repair
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
  • Proficiency with computers and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • OSHA 10 certification is required to be obtained within 6-months of employment
 ScheduleThe schedule for this position is typically Monday–Friday, with some weekends and late evenings as needed. Daily travel is required to get to, and from, job sites. Late hours will occur when job sites are outside of normal service areas. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to climb and/or operate tools/equipment. The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds of weight. This position requires digging and trenching in an outdoors environment, which may subject the employee to incremental weather. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
