QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In lieu of graduation from an ACEN or CCNE Accredited program, the HCW may be a graduate from a State Board of Nursing or accredited nursing program.
  •  Certification: BLS, PALS.
  •  Experience: One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation.
  •  Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The duties include but are not limited to the following:
  •  Perform a full range of Certified Nurse Assistant duties within the scope of their competencies, applicable duties provided in the basic contract and the follow: 
  • Ensure patient care is carried out in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Care and the policies and procedures of the clinic. 
  • Assist the provider as needed during exams to include women’s health exams. 
  • Check each chart for the provider's signature, stamp, and each patient's diagnosis prior to returning the chart to Health Records.
  •  Administer medications to patients as directed. 
  • Administer immunizations in a safe and accurate manner with strict adherence to all DHA and CDC Immunization policies as directed. 
  • Obtain lab and x-ray results.
  •  Perform various administrative functions as directed: answering telephones and transcribing accurate messages, assisting with patient check-in, assisting with scheduling appointments, properly filing documents including lab chits, consultations, treatment forms and other administrative duties as directed.
  •  Operate the following medical equipment, as directed, such as Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor, Handheld Nebulizer, EKG Machine (12 lead), Electronic Thermometer, IV infusion pump (Set-up only), Tannometer.
