About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the consistent quality and preparation of all menu items, maintaining the high standards that Prato 850 is known for.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development and recipe creation.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
- Manage and mentor a team of cooks, ensuring they follow safety and sanitation protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent product quality.
- Assist with inventory control and cost management.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Sous Chef or similar leadership role within a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in kitchen operations, including inventory control and food safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and consistency.
- A passion for the culinary industry and a desire to learn and grow.
