Position Overview:

The Associate Medical Director will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical operations across Altheda Medical Center. Working closely with the Medical Director and leadership team, this position focuses on quality improvement, provider oversight, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with leadership experience to help ensure that our care meets the highest standards. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned healthcare professional looking to take on a leadership role with room for further growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Operations Support: Assist the Medical Director in implementing care protocols, monitoring clinical workflows, and enhancing patient care delivery.
  • Provider Management: Oversee day-to-day activities of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
  • Quality Improvement & Compliance: Lead quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work alongside administrative leaders to align clinical practices with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provider Onboarding & Development: Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring new providers to foster a high-performing clinical team.
  • Patient Experience: Monitor patient satisfaction and develop strategies to ensure a seamless, patient-centered experience.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use healthcare analytics to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize care delivery.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with community organizations and other partners to expand access to care, particularly for underserved populations.
  • Budget Support: Work with the Medical Director and finance team to monitor clinical budgets and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD/DO) with an active and unrestricted medical license.
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine).
  • 5+ years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., Chief Resident, Department Head, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality improvement, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to support and supervise multi-site healthcare teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Knowledge of healthcare budgeting and resource management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with population health initiatives, value-based care models, and patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
