QC Metrologist / Equipment SpecialistSuccessful pharmaceutical company is in need of a qualified QC Metrologist / Equipment Specialist to oversee laboratory equipment calibration and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the laboratory equipment calibration and Preventative Maintenance program.
- Perform equipment calibration and Preventative Maintenance as required.
- Arrange for outside contractors to perform equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, as applicable.
- Arrange for or execute new equipment installation and qualification, as applicable.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated by their respective due dates.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed in a GMP compliant manner and adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare, review and approve all calibration and qualification protocols and reports.
- Be the owner for all change controls related laboratory equipment.
- Perform daily/weekly checks of the laboratory chart recorders.
Requirements:
- BS in a scientific discipline preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Metrologist.
- Must be able to troubleshoot GC and HPLC instrumentation, perform repairs, execute calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in a cGMP and Pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Excellent reading, writing and verbal skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP (or equivalent).
