Bell & Company, P.A. has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant (Tax or Audit).  Based in North Little Rock, AR we have offices in NLR, Conway, and Harrison, AR.  Celebrating 42 years in business, Bell & Company is proud to serve the area community and be an employer of choice.  This is NOT a remote position.  Must be able to work in the office.
 
The Senior Accountant:
Performs a variety of complex, professional accounting tasks in maintaining accounting records and preparing financial reports, operating statements, bookkeeping, and taxes for the clients of Bell & Company.
  • Must be able to accurately review completed tax returns prepared by Staff Accountants, note errors and make corrections in keeping with GAAP and IRS rules.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the individual, partnership, corporate, and other income tax areas by preparing returns using Ultratax.
  • Manage client contacts; evaluate needs and identify opportunities for added service.
  • Review and/or prepare quarterly 941 payroll tax reports.
  • Work with 3rd parties to obtain information necessary to complete tax returns and other projects.
  • Train new employees and be of assistance to team members.
  • Maintain various logs in Excel.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties using Quickbooks desktop and online.
  • Audit & Attest Work using Engagement.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • The qualified candidate will have a current/active CPA license + 5 years of recent experience in public accounting.*
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Be proficient in Quickbooks and Excel.  Experience in UltraTax, Adobe, Engagement, File Cabinet, Practice CS a plus.
  • Has excellent organizational and time management skills, and can work independently or as part of a team.
