Our client needs a procurement buyer.  If you have the background we are looking for, and you are interested in an opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading company, we want to talk with you Description:
  • Day to Day Category Management Operations support.
  •  
  • Prepare bid documents, price inquiries, and addendums for all the various company departments for consulting, human resources, legal, and services contracts. 
  • Ensure all required contract documents are in compliance and complete, and execute agreements, change orders, releases, etc. up to the predetermined $25,000 limit. 
  • Obtain RFP Q-Numbers on behalf of the Senior Procurement Agent, and add new RFQs to the RFQ Bid Tracking System, in the Buyer’s name. 
  • Prepare purchase orders and purchase order releases as well as Appendices based on established templates. 
  • Obtain a list of potential bidders for specific solicitation. 
  • Obtain a list of potential MWBE bidders from the SDP Director for use on solicitations, as directed. Draft preliminary Contract Reporter Ad for issuance in the assigned buyer’s name, for all Procurement Division sectors. Draft Bid Document transmittal memorandum in the assigned buyer’s name. 
  • Obtain missing bid/contract submittal requirements. 
  • Assemble unsuccessful bid proposals for transmittal to IRC storage. Retrieve contract files from IRC, as requested. 
  • Assist in MWBE contract award data collection for the Supplier Diversity Program. Assist in the collection of necessary information for Trustee approval of contracts /extensions.
 Required:4-year degree SAP and Arriba Microsoft Office Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with ability to build relationships with suppliers and technical and business resources. Proactive, innovative, organized, and able to yield outcomes quickly. Solid presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
