Our south Chicago client manufactures steel billboard structures including roof mount, one amount and both multipole and monopole, self-supporting signs. They are looking for an Operations Manager.

Principle Duties:
The Operations Manager will have the overall responsibility for all aspects of the day to day operation. This includes engineering, shop production and field work.

Reporting Relationships:
  • Reports to President & General Manager;
  • Direct reports Production team;
  • Support to Sales, Estimating;
  • Support from Office Mgr., Sales, President & General Manager.
Authority:
  • Set policy;
  • Hire and fire employees in accordance with company policy;
  • Direct & manage all employees in the operations department;
  • Purchasing & negotiations with subcontractors.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Safety;
  • Quality control;
  • Resource management & training;
  • Job scheduling;
  • Information technology;
  • Participate in the level 10 meetings and the EOS process;
  • Interact with our customers.
Measurement of Performance:
  • Performance will be measured by;
  • The companies safety record;
  • Overall completion of jobs turned in on budget both cost and man hours;
  • Cost of goods sold as a percentage of the work produced;
  • Interviews with the people you work with including the vendors and fellow employees & customers;
  • The timeliness and accuracy of paperwork.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, PTO, Benefits,401(k).
