 Job title: Therapist (Full Time)Reports to: Program Director
Position SummaryThe therapist will provide individual and group therapy to adults residing in an acute secure LTSR setting.  Therapists perform initial assessment, complete treatment plans, meet individually with a caseload of 3-4 residents, run two weekly groups and coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.

Essential Duties and FunctionsTherapy 
  • Conduct intake assessments. 
  • Monthly updates to paperwork/crisis plans/treatment plans/PHQ9.
  • Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health issues. 

Caseload management 
  • Maintain active caseload (3-4 residents) including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment. 
  • Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals. 
  • Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed.  

Administrative 
  • Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines.
 Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field.  Licensed or license eligible (within 6 months).
  • Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, substance use or IDD.
  • Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs.                                          
  • ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program
  • FBI clearance, as needed 
 Active license preferred, or licensed within 6 months with documentation of current/ongoing supervision requirements.  (LSW, LCSW, LPC) Reporting Relationship
  • Direct Supervisor: Program Director
