Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our painting projects. The Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating project timelines, managing resources, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a positive working environment for our team of painters.
Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
    • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
    • Create efficient schedules for painting projects, optimizing resource utilization and meeting deadlines.

  2. Resource Management:
    • Supervise and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Hire, train, and evaluate painting crews, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
    • Procure materials and equipment, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers to maximize value for the company.

  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify any issues or deviations from project specifications.
    • Address any quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all job sites, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
    • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to painting techniques, materials, and safety standards.
    • Implement safety training programs and conduct regular safety meetings to ensure compliance and minimize accidents/incidents.

  5. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Foster open communication and collaboration among team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the painting industry, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Trello, for planning and scheduling.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no prior violations.
  • Experience in preparing quotations and project estimates, including a demonstrated ability to accurately assess project requirements and provide competitive pricing.

Location:
  • Must reside in Bothell, WA, USA, or within a 1-hour commute from the area.

Schedule:
  • Work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts typically lasting 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Some weekend work may be required based on project deadlines and client needs.
