Western Wake Treatment Center is in need of a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Western Wake Treatment Center is a private outpatient medication assisted treatment program offering treatment for opioid use disorder. The mission of Western Wake Treatment Center is to provide individualized drug counseling, education and medication assisted treatment to opioid dependent adults in a safe, medically sound, therapeutic environment. We strive to provide opportunities for patients to explore, change, and strengthen themselves so they can lead a healthy and productive life.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Persons hired for this position are responsible for ensuring that competent, safe, quality, and professional care is provided to each of the patients assigned to his/her caseload or other team members (in their absence, in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Utilize knowledge of chemical dependency and counseling techniques to introduce effective education and counseling for patients under their care.
  • Persons hired will conduct individual and group counseling to meet treatment plan goals and objectives.
  • Produce a clear and concise documentation in all areas including, but not limited to: Admit note, assessments, daily charting, weekly clinical review, staffing notes, treatment plan updates, biopsychosocial, transition and discharge planning, documentation of family sessions as needed and all summaries.
  • Responsible for appropriate referral to each patient in need, open clear and ethical communication with referral sources; follow up of each of his/her cases after discharge.
  • Motivates patients for changes, effectively performs crisis interventions, screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling (group and individual, and family).
  • Appropriately and professionally provides case management, patient education and keep clear, ethical, and confidential reports and record keeping.
  • Interacts and relates with peers and other professionals to assure comprehensive and quality care for the patients.
  • Will participate in Crisis Counselor after-hours phone line rotation.

Experience:
  • Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred).
