SUMMARYThe role of Paint Shop Foreman is to oversee the Steel Fabrication Paint shop (Painters and Loaders). Responsible to act in accordance with the policies set forth in the Macuch Steel Employee Handbook. Daily responsibilities include maximize production, minimize cost, manage personnel, advance information flow, promote safety and assure atop-quality end product.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Manage and Train department employees
  • Manage Process Efficiency & Resources
  • Manage Information Document flow.
  • Control Expenses
  • Quality & Safety
  • Maintain and control inventory of consumable needs in department.
  • Other duties as assigned
  QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Two -or more years' experience in shop floor production, specifically with structural steel ideally and one year or more experience as foreman or supervisor. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/blueprints operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • ABILITY TO READ A TAPE MEASURE TO 1/16"AND BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS IS A MUST.
