Role and Responsibilities:The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a commissary, which is a grocery store that serves military personnel, retirees, and their families. Their responsibilities typically include managing and supervising tasks associated with receiving, handling, stocking, and controlling inventory of products and materials.
- Oversees commissary team which is composed of individuals with disabilities.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.
- Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
- Responsible for maintaining, tracking, computing, and adjustments to attendance records and payroll.
- Managing inventory levels, ordering products, and ensuring stock availability for customers while minimizing waste.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety standards, health codes, and military guidelines.
- Overseeing cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the store premises and equipment.
- Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to the commissary team.
- Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper store signage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of (2) two years’ supervisory experience (Preferred).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers.
- Familiarity with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to organize and establish work processes.
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran, and lift up to (25) lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
