HOMEMAKERIs a trained non-professional worker who performs related housekeeping services in the home for the sick, disabled and dependent individuals. HOMEMAKER employees report to the Administrator.

Job Duties: 
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following standards and procedures
  • Changing linens, dusting, vacuuming
  • Maintaining kitchen and bathroom facilities, handling personal laundry
  • Maintaining security
 A homemaker must satisfactorily complete a training program approved by the Registered Nurse and may perform the following duties under an established plan of care and under the supervision of a qualified person.
  • Change bed linens (unoccupied) 
  • Grocery shopping 
  • General housekeeping (washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, bathroom, client’s room)
  • Trash removal 
  •  Laundry and ironing 
  • Meal preparation 
  • Shopping, errand-running 
  • Recording services rendered
