Required Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practice of medicine and allied health services.
- Special knowledge in the area of preventive medicine.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with patients.
- Ability to exercise judgment in unusual or stressful situations.
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Ability to identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent or geriatric patients.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Required Education:
- Graduate of an Approved and Accredited Medical School (M.D. or D.O.).
- Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Primary Care Specialty (Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, etc.).
- Current, unrestricted License to Practice Medicine in the State of Texas.
- Current Drug enforcement Agency Registration.
- Current Texas Department of Public Safety Registration.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years training in an Accredited Residency Program of a Primary Care specialty (Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, etc..)
- Minimum 1 year Internship plus two years experience in a primary care setting.
