As Iowa’s largest nonprofit animal shelter, we are committed to protecting animals and addressing the growing demand for animal control facility space. Our mission has taken a giant leap forward with the opening of our cutting-edge New Animal Services location, scheduled for December 2023. This 21,850-sf facility represents a significant upgrade, designed to meet Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines and regulations, and it boasts sustainability features aligned with the city’s electrification goals, including a pursuit of LEED Gold certification.
Now, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team at both our Main campus and the groundbreaking New Animal Services facility.  We are currently seeking a Full -Time Certified Surgical Technician.

Here’s what we ask of you to take our Surgical Team to the next level.

  • Veterinary Technician Certification - required.
  • Animal care and customer service experience - preferred.
