About the Role:
As a Tax Preparer, you will be integral in providing comprehensive tax preparation services to our clients. This role involves preparing current and past-due tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and regulations. Your expertise will help clients navigate the tax preparation process smoothly, maximizing their savings and ensuring accurate filings.
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses, including current and past-due filings.
  • Collect necessary documentation and maintain client files in accordance with company procedures.
  • Utilize technology and government resources to obtain accurate information for tax preparation.
  • Identify potential deductions and credits to maximize clients' savings.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers, Enrolled Agents, and Tax Attorneys to ensure comprehensive service.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all company procedures regarding information handling.
  • Address technical or service-related issues promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients.

  What You'll Need to Have:

  • Required Active CTEC license and PTIN holder.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and familiarity with form 1040 and schedules.
  • Excellent research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and within a team.

Nice to Have:
  • Current certification as an Enrolled Agent or licensed CPA.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Bilingual abilities.
