- Read specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of materials.
- Hanging, connecting, and installing iron; cutting, positioning and bolting down steel bars.
- Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
- May erect metal storage tanks, and steel frames and assemble prefabricated metal buildings.
- Direct operation of cranes to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials onto and around the construction site.
- Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.
- Ensure quality workmanship on all completed work.
- Capable of meeting or exceeding established production standards.
- Trade-specific workforce quality.
- Maintain sufficient personal hand tools for assigned tasks.
- Perform quality control inspections on all work.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Must have a VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE or STATE ID.
- Must PASS BACKGROUND CHECK - No Felonies or Misdemeanor Classes A and B.
- Must PASS DRUG SCREEN.
- Must either have OSHA 10 or 30 Certificate or Certificate of Completion, or is willing to go through the class right away.
- Must have WORK AUTHORIZATION in US.
- Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and/or other adverse locations.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Work in all types of weather.
- Must have a working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- And/Or up to 45 pounds of force frequently.
- And/Or greater than negligible up to 22 pounds of force to move objects constantly.
Other Requirements:
- LOCAL area workers only. (Austin, TX and suburbs)
- A minimum of 5 years of ironworking experience is required.

Additional Project is Tesla Gigafactory located in Austin, TX.
